The registration fees are understood PLUS 19% VAT.

Presenting authors (oral or poster) are kindly requested to register before December 17, 2012 to ensure that their contribution will be included in the Book of Abstracts. Papers will be withdrawn from the Book of Abstracts and from the Conference Programme if the presenting author has not registered and paid the registration fee. Please don't forget to indicate whether you intend to give an oral or poster presentation upon registration.

*) The registration fee is in EUR and includes all coffee breaks, lunches and the book of abstracts as PDF file. The registration fee does NOT include the accommodation fee. A personal badge will provide access to all scientific sessions and social events.

****) Student identification card and a statement from your institution documenting your current involvement in a Masters or Ph.D. programme should be sent with a copy of your registration.

Invoice / payment

After registration, we will send you an invoice (PDF file) with information on payment methods. All fees are payable in advance of the conference and in EURO (EUR). Possible bank charges have to be paid by the participant.

Please note: A copy of the bank transfer order form should be sent.

In order to take advantage of the early bird rates ( Deadline: December 30, 2012 ), payments have to be received by January 15, 2013.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in writing to TuTech and received by fax, mail or email. For cancellations made before December 30, 2012 a cancellation fee of EURO 75 will be charged. In the case of cancellations after December 30, 2012 the full registration fee will be charged. It is of course possible to name a substitute participant. In case your abstract is rejected the full registration fee will be refunded.

Hamburg was awarded the title of European Green Capital for 2011. As much as 14% of the city area is made up of green spaces and recreational areas.

The conference will take place in the centre of Hamburg on the campus of the University of Hamburg which is near the long-distance-rail station Dammtor offering links to all of Germany as well as a connection by metro to the airport.

Arrival - by air, rail, road

All routes lead to Hamburg

Whether by air, rail or road – Hamburg has excellent traffic links with the whole world. Hamburg Airport offers direct international connections to Europe, America, Africa and Asia. To reach the conference by public transport from the airport, take the “S-Bahn” S1 to Hauptbahnhof and change to S11, S21 or S31 on the other side of the platform. Leave train at Dammtor ( 1 stop).

With its long long-distance rail stations, Hauptbahnhof (centre) and Dammtor (centre) / near the venue of the conference, Hamburg is perfectly embedded in the European high-speed train network.

Hamburg is also a north German hub for road traffic. South Germany and Scandinavia can be quickly be reached from the Hamburg metropolitan region by the A7 motorway, while the A1 (Lübeck-Bremen-The Ruhr) links Hamburg with the Baltic Sea and West Germany, the A24 leads to Berlin and Eastern Europe and the A23 (towards Heide) directly to the North Sea.
